as far as controversial trends go, we've seen some wild ones like the ultra-low-rise jeans of the early 2000s to the heeled flip-flops from last year.
but one of the most controversial trends of all time is back and just as polarizing as ever. rising to fame in the early 2000s and then making a comeback in the last few years, the trend you never thought you'd see again is here: visible underwear.
we saw this trend bubbling up in 2018 and 2019, but here we are in 2020 and we've already spotted it on some of the most influential fashion girls. i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but based on the evidence it looks like this trend is just beginning. visible underwear, thongs, whale tails, whatever you want to call it, all signs point to this controversial trend sticking around for a while!
if ur brave enough to try out this trend, try styling a pair of high waisted underwear with baggy sweats like i did. or u can opt for a more chic route but styling the underwear with low waisted jeans or dress pants as seen by the likes of fashion icons like bella hadid and jennifer lopez

knee high boots have been a popular fashion trend consistently for over a decade. it’s a trend that is accessible to a variety of body types and budgets.
the riding boot was practically a women’s fashion must-have from 2005-2015! but after a decade, the trend began to feel very tired. the style went from classic riding boots to boots covered with studs and buckles. the trend had been so overdone there were memes made about it 😂
the knee high boot has made its comeback in 2020,
and this time it’s taking a more sleek and modern approach. we’ve been seeing these boots all over the streets and runways, but this time around the boot is designed with snakeskin patterns and pointed toes and styled completely differently.
the old way of styling the knee high boot would be mocked as “basic”. think knee high boots styled with jeans or leggings and lots and lots of layers. it’s the cliché “christian autumn girl” look of blanket scarves, floppy hats, and pumpkin spice lattes.
i tried to take a more modern approach styling my knee high boots last night by pairing them with a pair of biker shorts. i topped the outfit of with a triangle bralette and a super cropped shirt. how do you guys think i did?
