One day I decided to have a “perfect” New Year's Eve: a beautiful dress, a romantic evening, candles.... Well, just like in the movies. 💫

Everything was going according to plan, until I remembered that I forgot to buy tangerines - and what New Year's Eve without them! I ran to the store in my evening dress and heels, and it was blizzard and freezing outside. Imagine the picture: I - like a heroine of a Christmas comedy - rushing through the snowdrifts with a bag of tangerines, as if I were saving the holiday. 🍊👠❄️

I return home frozen but proud. I put the tangerines on the table, light the candles... and realize I forgot the champagne at the store! 🍾😅

All of us wear masks, armor..... But what I realized is that being vulnerable is a strength that most of us fear. It takes courage: taking off all the defenses and letting people see you for who you are.

Sometimes I feel a tremendous amount of fear in revealing my feelings. I want to immediately seal myself in a shell so I don't take any chances.

But there's always a quiet voice in the back of my mind that says I'll miss out on so much more if I'm too careful.

As long as you hide behind masks and images, people who feel the same way will have a hard time finding you. 🌿🤍
