Happy Tuesday! So, another long day of mtgs and stuff, but my venture capital mtgs went SUPER good. I had exchanged emails with them giving them the overviews, then laid it all out in this first mtg. But they let it be known as I talked, they had done a TON of homework behind the scenes...including pulling in people not in our convo. That's a super good sign, it means they realize "this thing has legs and is golden...get Bob in here, he's the expert on this, he'll want to see this", like that And then at the end, my add-on ask is "if you think it's interesting, I know you know people from (big global VC firm), maybe you could introduce me." But they answered "oh, we were going to ask you if we could. Absolutely." Yay! And ya...I got a funeral to go to tomorrow and another friday😕. Aaaand...I really have to switch some focus onto my conference prep in 2 weeks, that's coming up!

Poindexter's Management 101, plus my early engineering career at Intel and how I am today. Funny fact: at Intel, we all sorta knew that Berkeley graduates were super self- starting and just solved problems on their own, and Stanford graduates needed a ton of handholding. It drove us senior engineers bonkers, "just solve the problem! Figure it out!" Mr Poindexter went to both schools, Berkeley in Engineering & Stanford in Physics. He explained it, "it's because Berkeley is a public school and it's sink or swim, no one is coming to help you, you figure it out or YOU'RE out. Stanford's like a fuckin' country club! Private school, everything is catered to the paying customer. Ahhh...Stanford... 😊"

Just sorta used to it from my early engineering career, that's normal. And then founding companies, that's just expected.
