Up to 1 in 3 people suffer with SAD. I’ve always found winter depletes my energy, I’m tired, I lose motivation to do the things I love and at least once over the winter months I’ll phone a friend in tears asking what life’s all about. Women generally experience it slightly more often, but it affects men too (although this may be due to the fact women talk about these things more so, maybe not, I’m not gonna accept this as truth just yet). So here’s what you can do (and a few things that help me) if you get SAD AF;     • get out in nature! Walk in daylight. If you have an office job get out on your lunch break. You need two hours a week in nature to top up feel good chemicals (Matthew. P. White; et al - Spending at least 120 minutes a week in nature is associated with good health and wellbeing) parks will do, you don’t have to be OUT out.   • Light therapy (I have a sunrise alarm clock too which is a much nicer way to get up)   • Exercise, yesss this last bit sucks BUT endorphin levels are affected by exercise so make sure you’re getting some movement, yoga, weight training or whatever form of exercise you like in a few times a week.   • Don’t hibernate TOO much. Tempting as it is to isolate, it’s always a boost after you’ve done the sociable thing. Cuffing season is a thing y’all and exposure to people we like and physical touch boosts our dopamine levels a ton.    • Orgasms release dopamine in abundance so come watch one of my videos and have a wank 😄 Self love is important ya know! ♥️
