Some of the most popular subjects of photography in the 1800s were corpses. Many famous individuals were famously photographed after their deaths, like the Clantons and McLaurys who died in the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. But it wasn’t only the famous who found themselves as posthumous models; regular people were often photographed after death also.
The first photograph ever taken was by a French scientist named Joseph Nicéphore Niépce. He captured the image with a camera obscura in 1826. The famous image took eight hours to capture because of the long exposure needed for the camera. The image was actually lost for nearly 50 years before historians rediscovered it.

You deserve a love that always feels like summer 🤍
If your dopamine is tethered to the actions, words & inactions of others you’re in for a rough ride. Conversely, the more your dopamine reward system is tuned to your actions & thoughts, the better you’ll feel (on average). External feedback is key too, but be a selective filter.
The word “Photography” comes from the Greek, meaning to draw with light. The earliest known use of the word photograph as we know it was in 1839 by the astronomer Sir John Herschel.
To level up in life we also must level up in understanding the only constant is change and all we believe is not always what everyone else believes it to be. We need to be open to things having several meanings not wrong or right. Then we need to see what resonates with us but always be open to others meanings too.
Let’s take a slap for instance. I’m getting cheeky this hump day to explain it.
A slap as a kid for me meant I was a naughty warty. However in todays society Iceland has band slapping kids and it is considered chïld abuse in many places of the world.
A slap as an adult for many of us brings to mind play, pleasure and erotica.
In Russia Slapping competitions are common in Russian body building championships. Where competitors standing across from one another exchange blows until one submits or is knocked out.
Players in Major League Baseball complement each other with a slap on the back.
In some sports they give a warm slap on the butt without a second thought. Butt slapping in sports first appeared on 19 October 1973 in a Philly inquirer peace on Penn state footballs stoic defensive posture. The Penn state defenders are singled out as anomalies in the story for not slapping each other on the behind.
And a high 5 also a slap is through sheer excitement that can be uncontrollable often.
What happens when someone slaps you at high frequency? It hertz lol 😂
What does a slap mean to you?
Happy Hump Day and 1st Feb everyone

You have already come so far and I see you juggling so much, disciplined in your drive and determination to make your time count. You’re efficient and organized and you have thoughtfully and purposefully arranged your priorities. You set a wonderful example for us all, living and leading by example.
You make an important contribution outside the home as well as inside, and I want you to know that you are admired for all that you manage and all that you give. And you give so much. I know you crave more time – more to spend with those you love, to achieve more and to rest. Time passes quickly, and I know your time is precious and constantly measured and allocated. We need you, beautiful soul, and I feel so blessed to have connected with you.

If you want results this year I’m here to help. For those who asked here’s some great information on nutrition I wanted to share I read to help achieve your goals.
Are you logging in your training sessions and still not seeing the results you’re after? Is it taking longer than you expected, or are you barely making any progress? There are many reasons why you aren’t where you’d want to be. And with all of the fast, incredible transformations we see online, it’s understandable that we crave our own, too. That’s why I’m here to help. Let’s troubleshoot why you’re stalling, and what can be done to get you further to your goals!
Nutrition
Let’s start with your diet. Everyone can do the same workout, but not everyone is guaranteed the same results if their nutrition isn’t taken as seriously as their training. Plant-based, keto, low-carb, high-carb, paleo, vegetarian- it doesn’t matter what you choose so long as you fuel yourself correctly. If you’re vegan, pay attention to where you get your food. Is it nothing but processed junk like mock meats, cookies, and dairy-free cheese? For my keto folks, you’re not off the hook, either. You could be overeating foods like nuts, mayo, and cream cheese, which are all high in calories. While I don’t count calories, I manage them through portion control and my FM (free meal) and WEM (workout earned meal) approach. Both have worked well over six years for me. I’m lean, energized, and strong for both my daily workouts and activities.
A common problem I’ve seen is the “rewards” people give themselves in the form of food. If they’ve been crushing it hard in their workouts, they start treating things like cake, pasta, and ice cream as “rewards.” That’s not the way you should view your food- you’re not a dog! Not only that, but it sets up a horrible relationship with food. Many times, an eating disorder will develop from the binging and treats that are “earned” from intense exercise. The overeating and overtreating system can quickly be abused. Before you know it, you’re eating more calories than you burned (no matter how hard you trained), feeling miserable mentally, and losing a healthy relationship with your food.
Solutions:
· Start seeing your food as fuel. Nutrients in the form of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, protein, carbs, fiber, and fat all affect body composition. Because everything from burning fat to building muscle requires proper nutrition. And if you want to slow down aging, have healthy hair and skin, and prevent disease, you’re going to have to make your diet a priority, not an afterthought.
· With your favorite treats, look at them as they are. Treats. And not something to be eaten all the time. Save them for non-exercise-related occasions. It could be your birthday, the holidays (Thanksgiving), family reunions, or an anniversary. Not only will it taste even better, but you’ll also have a special reason to enjoy it (which helps, especially when you’re with other people and not by yourself).
Before foods became packaged with paragraphs of fake, processed ingredients, they showed up as is. An apple is an apple. Eggs are eggs. Almonds are almonds. (You get the idea.) If you need help learning how to enjoy healthy foods (which are what a real diet is made of), check out this post here. Otherwise, skip the boxed, pre-made meals, snacks, and drinks and go for whole foods found in nature.
Only a similar note, beware of imposter foods. Even though a food label claims to be “gluten-free,” “low sugar,” “keto-friendly,” “vegan approved,” it doesn’t always mean it’s good for you. A vegan cake is still cake. Microwaveable keto pizza is still pizza. A lot of these products contain hidden ingredients that go against their claims! Vegan cheese substitutes are notorious for containing casein, which is a derivative of dairy milk. Low-carb fruit juices add either sucralose or maltodextrin, which are processed forms of sugar. And in high amounts, they alter your microbiome (aka, the gut), causing bad bacteria to manipulate your cravings and make you overeat sugar. Other research shows they contribute to dysbiosis (gut imbalances) and inflammation in the intestines. You can’t judge a book (or label) by its cover. If you read the ingredients, you’ll see they’re anything but real food. [1] [2] [3]
Track your food intake. While I don’t recommend counting calories and micromanaging your diet down to the last bite, I do suggest you use a food journal for a short time. This helps to give you an idea of portion sizes, any habits or slipups you have, and just how much you’re truly consuming. A lot of people underestimate their daily intake, thinking they’re eating healthy or following the right diet. While that may be true, you can still overeat even the healthiest of foods. Roasted macadamias are a delicious treat. But if you’re not too careful, you could quickly eat an entire bag, which is why a journal creates awareness for beginners and helps them to improve their eating habits.
Notice that I didn’t recommend any specific diet here. There’s a lot of noise out there over which diet is best for everyone when the truth is that no such one exists. I’ll always share what works for me, but I do understand that we all respond differently to diets. I know some people rock keto but admit that not everyone can (or should) do it. Going high carb and plant-based wasn’t right for me, but don’t let that keep you from trying it or seeing how it works for you. This is what’s known as bio-individuality, meaning that no two people are exactly the same and that there is no one size fits all diet out there. However, don’t let that keep you from eating real food. Or from the habits that keep you from eating the wrong type of food for your body.

Do you notice the changes in perspectives between photos the small details that make the big difference in photography or even movement teachings and dance I share?
So many people tend to think that it is go big or go home and that is why so many of us lose the ability to make healthy changes in our lives consistently. Yes the only constant is change however change needs to be done gracefully and with a sense of awarness to really have growth.
Time does necessarily heal all wounds it is what we do with the time we have that creates the healing or not. Time does not make us more or less capable. It is what we do with that time that makes us more or less capable.

When we tap into our physical senses and work with, rather than against our bodies, we enter a realm that no longer requires validation from the outside. When we are at ease in ourselves and move with sensuality, we begin to re-build a connection to the core of who we are, through our bodies.
Sex and sensuality lie at the root of who we are as human beings. Sensuality comes into existence the moment our hearts begin beating and our breath starts its rhythmic course, inviting us to join the dance of life. Sensuality asks only that we find our beat – and it’ll keep the rhythm...
Sensuality is a heightened sense of physical awareness that can connect us to the primal nature of being. Sensuality links with our memory and activates those associations we have made around feelings of lust and sex.
Although they are intimately linked, sex and sensuality are not one and the same. Sexuality can exist without sensuality, but then it is simply based on the physiological responses of the human body. While this can still be experienced as a pleasure, it is a more animalistic urge. This attitude is prevalent in, for example, the porn industry.
When sexuality ends up being divorced from sensuality in this way, it’s no wonder so many of us end up feeling uncomfortable about, and ashamed of, our sexual instincts.
Sensuality is a way of being. Whenever I move with sensuality, I re-build a connection to my soul and the core of who I am, through my body. Moving in this way helps me recognize and undo all the conditioning that threatens to box me in. To be someone who is comfortable in their own body is one of the greatest experiences I’ll ever know.
Through being grounded in the full awareness of our physical and emotional sensations, we begin to experience so much pleasure even in mundane, day-to-day activities. When we practise this way of being, we start to unlock our deeper passion for life. Sensuality can amplify the magic all around us that we are so often disconnected from. nSo the greatest pleasure isn't sex alone, but the passion with which it is practised... Just like the greatest pleasure in life doesn’t come from having it all – it is the passion with which we live it.
Sensuality means being open and receptive to all that is around us – and that kind of openness means being prepared to be vulnerable. It means being willing to engage with the world in the knowledge that life can make us or break us with a touch, sound, feel, taste or look.

January was named after the Roman god Janus.
Janus had two faces which allowed him to look forwards into the coming year and backwards into the past year.
It is through taking care of our physical self that we are able to manage our stress and self regulate other emotional experiences. If we are disconnected from our body for a long time, many of our physical needs have probably gone unsatisfied or unmet. When we learn to identify and connect those needs we create a safe space within that we can return to after any challenging experience. When our physical needs are met our body can send a message to our brain that we can relax here and now because we are safe.
For me yoga is a great tool to help this process. However we must first be aware of our conditioning and messages we’ve received our whole lives first, to address the habits we adopted that no longer serve or help us before this can help.
Contrary to the messaging we receive in media, social media and our upbringing our bodies are not what makes us lovable or unlovable. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we are all unique, enough and beautiful in a variety of ways regardless of what the messages outside of us have yelled or whispered to us, along our journeys. These are just conditioning or messages we internalized and made as body beliefs, because we repeated them over and over again and often they were done subconsciously. Sadly as we grow older they also impact us with our relationships, behaviors and self worth.
To build self confidence and learn to identify body beliefs that are unhelpful or inaccurate we need to start asking questions that allow us to see you for who we really are.
Try asking yourself these questions:
-How did you caregivers care for their own bodies, talk about their own bodies and talk about your body?
-Was a specific type of beauty/body admired or held in high regard as you grew up?
-Did you caregivers speak about weight or people’s appearances in a certain way?
-What conversations were had about diet, fitness or weight as you grew up?

The 1956 Summer Olympics Were Held in Two Countries
Melbourne, in Australia, was the official host city for the 1956 Summer Olympic Games, but it was unable to host the equestrian events due to the country’s tough quarantine laws. These events were, as a result, held in Stockholm, five months earlier than the main Olympics began. These weren’t the first Games to be held in two countries either – that honour goes to the 1920 Summer Olympics, which took place in Belgium and the Netherlands.
I’ll let you into my soul
But wipe your feet at the door
Törture me with the pleasure of life
Tug my senses into orgasmic experiences
Graze your words through my heart
And have me begging for mercy
Before we’ve even touched
You’ve touched me
Without even touching me

Naturism takes Nudism to the next level. Not only is it about being naked, but it also encompasses other wellness, spirituality, and lifestyle aspects. Naturists tend to enjoy spending time outdoors (‘nature’ IS in the term Naturism, after all) and partaking in healthy and wholesome activities such as camping, hiking, yoga, swimming, and more. Naturism also emphasizes the importance of community, with many Naturists belonging to local or online organizations where they can connect with other like-minded families, couples, and individuals. Naturists see their lifestyle as being more in harmony with nature.
So, what are the benefits of Naturism? Not surprisingly, the reported benefits of Naturism share many points in common with the benefits of Naked Yoga. Regular practitioners of both describe feelings of higher self-respect, improved body image, and a greater overall sense of well-being. The community aspects of Naturism also lead to higher reported life satisfaction, in which relationships are nurtured and body positivity is shared and cultivated within the group.
Even with so many appealing benefits to Naturism, the lifestyle may sound intimidating to those just getting started or thinking about it. If you’re interested in exploring but aren’t quite ready to be naked in public with others, first practice becoming more comfortable being nude at home. Our favourite is obviously Naked Movement. Not only can you develop a more confident and healthy relationship with your body, but you’ll get excellent physical activity at the same time.

Some little fun facts for you all about where I come from. Awesome facts about Tasmania you can share with your new walking buddies…
1. There are two theories on why it’s called the Apple Isle. The first one is its former status as an important apple exporter, however some say it’s because the island’s shaped like an apple.
2. Tasmania isn’t as small as you think in fact it’s about the same size as the Republic of Ireland or Sri Lanka.
3. Speaking on size, Tassie’s coastline measures about 4500km – that’s longer than the combined coastlines of NSW and Victoria.
4. Tasmania is situated closer to the equator than Rome or Chicago. (A good Trivia Pursuit question!)
5. Almost half of the state is World Heritage Area, national park, or marine and forest reserves.
